Overcast skies most of the day gave way to sunshine for Friday’s Hot Summer Nights on the Bagnell Dam Strip. What a great night! We got there early (shortly after 4:00pm and parking spots were already filling up!) and parked; then headed to Tucker’s Shuckers for some of their great clam chowder. After enjoying our food on the upper deck we walked down the strip to check out all the cool cars, trucks and bikes. What a variety! Definitely something for everyone. We made the turn and headed back up the strip to the Lake Ozark Live stage where we car and people watched for a while. We had a great time visiting some of the shops and seeing the strip buzzing with activity. The folks from Coney Island & Sliders were wandering through the crowd dressed in Hot Dog costumes and passing out FREE SAMPLES of their Coney Dogs – delicious! Go see them for some great dogs!
This event is how it’s supposed to be – fun family entertainment with a great venue and atmosphere. Kudos to the organizers! This version of Hot Summer Nights was jam packed. We took a cruise towards Osage Beach when we left and traffic was bumper to bumper all the way to the Shawnee Bluff Winery waiting to cruise the Bagnell Dam Strip.
